A Birthday Message from Our E.D.
Greetings!
I couldn't be more honored to be at the helm during such an exciting time in Zeum's history. Our 10th anniversary is a significant milestone that represents growth from a start-up organization to one that is established, stable and rooted in the San Francisco community. It also gives us the opportunity to publicly celebrate our accomplishments, reflect on the difference we've made as a vital part of the San Francisco community, and articulate our hopes and dreams for the future.
As Zeum enters its 10th year serving the greater San Francisco Bay Area's diverse communities, we are poised to move from being one of San Francisco's best-kept secrets to being a top destination for families of all communities to be creative. Our vision is a world that nurtures the creativity, collaboration and communication of all youth and their families. We believe the success of the next generation will hinge not only on what they know but also on their ability to imagine new possibilities and create new solutions to address the global challenges that confront them.
We ask visitors, "What Will YOU Create?" In the past ten years, with YOUR generous support, we at Zeum have created a place where kids and families can combine the power of their imaginations with art and technology to express themselves. Thank you for helping to create Zeum, and we look forward to continuing to work with you in the coming decade and beyond to fulfill our mission to provide multimedia tools for families of all communities to think and act creatively.

Our 10th Birthday Celebration
On October 25, 2008, Zeum celebrated our birthday by hosting the biggest birthday bash in Zeum history! We threw a free admission day for all of the families in the San Francisco Bay Area, offering face painting, caricature sketches, temporary tattoos, a raffle, and yummy birthday goodies all for free. To top it off, we hosted San Francisco's only haunted house experience for children throughout the entire week, just in time for Halloween, and even gave away costume prizes!

To add to the festivities, State Senator-Elect Mark Leno paid a visit to Zeum during our birthday celebrations and honored us with a Certificate of Recognition for 10 years of service to the Bay Area.
