Message from Our Executive Director
Greetings!
Zeum is taking bold steps to realize our long-term vision of becoming one of San Francisco's top destinations for all youth and families. A key strategy in this effort has been to align ourselves with top-tier firms in select industries:
- Bain & Company, a leading management consulting firm, worked with our board of directors and staff to develop a five-year strategic plan focused on generating transformational growth. We hope to double the annual number of youth and families we serve to 100,000 by 2015.
- Gyroscope, an award-winning exhibition design firm, was hired to develop a plan to transform key exhibit spaces. The changes will be focused on expanding our offerings to include 3-5-year-olds, significantly improving the visitor experience, and increasing capacity.
- Landor, a top-tier strategic brand consulting firm, is partnering with us to re-brand Zeum into a next-generation children’s museum. We are currently exploring different naming options, with a focus on a clear, compelling name and visual identity.
As Zeum enters its twelfth year serving the greater San Francisco Bay Area's diverse communities, I am more confident than ever about our next exciting phase of growth. We've got an incredibly engaged volunteer Board of Directors and a highly passionate staff. What will make the biggest difference in this next phase, however, is YOU: Through your generous contributions and introducing Zeum to as many families as possible, I have no doubt that together we will build a next-generation children's museum that represents the best of San Francisco.
Warm regards,
Audrey Yamamoto
